Refinery Operations is the second in a series of three courses designed
for the use of supervisors, foremen, operators, and others who work, or
are associated, with crude oil refining, petrochemicals, or natural gas
compressor stations or plants. |
|

|
Each course is independent, yet the
information in each would be of value to those listed above. |
|

|
This second course is intended to provide a basic background of refinery
operational methods, techniques, equipment, and theories. |
|

|
Included are sample problems,
discussions on equipment start–up and usage, and different methods of
refining. |
|

|
Anyone who has a basic understanding
of chemistry and physics, or who has studied the material presented in
course One of this series, should have no difficulty in dealing with the
concepts presented herein. |
