Pressure Relieving Systems Application of Relief Devices

API Pressure Relieving Systems Seminar "Application of Relief Devices". This course will show you the way to successfully design, install. and operate pressure relieving and depressuring systems.

This course based on :

API RP 520 : Sizing, Selection and Installation of Pressure Relieving Devices for Refineries

API RP 521 : Guide for Pressure Relieving and Depressuring Systems

API Std 526 : Hanged Steel Pressure Relief Values

API Std 2000 : Venting Atmospheric and Low–Pressure Storage Tanks, Non-refrigerated and Refrigerated.

Through classroom presentations, the analysis and review of case studies of incidents involving relief devices and examples illustrating the determination of valve size and flow requirements, you will learn why :

Pressure vessels and other equipment require relief devices to prevent overpressure that may cause serious injuries to personnel, costly mechanical rupture and environmental releases.

The proper sizing and application of relief devices necessary to assure that adequate overpressure protection is provided, and to reduce hazards in the event that the device discharges.

You need a broad knowledge of relief devices and applications in order to assure that all recommendations ions of an OSHA safety review are correct.
