The
Choice Of Materials For Desalination Plant |
 |
The
selection of materials for the construction of desalination plant is a
vital consideration, particularly for the distillation processes, since it
markedly influences the technical and economic performance of the plant. |
|
 |
A balance must be struck between
materials which give exceptionally high reliability with a high water cost
and cheaper materials with lower reliability and an initially low water
cost. |
|
 |
Achieving this balance requires a knowledge
of the properties of the alloys available and a fund of information about
their effectiveness under service conditions. |
